2.1. Origin of the Name

The Yao Sin Herbal Healing Center is inspired by the therapeutic traditions of the Red Dao ethnic group, a minority community renowned for its natural remedies and healing methods.

"Yao Sìn" in the Dao language means "therapeutic bathing." The term "Yao" signifies the act of healing, while "Sìn" means bathing. This phrase thus represents the traditional Dao therapy method, in which bathing is seen as an effective way to restore health and bring well-being to the body.

Therefore, it can be said that "Yao Sìn" is a unique traditional therapy that combines bathing with natural herbs to provide relaxation, health recovery, and body balance. This method not only helps detoxify the body but also conveys the cultural essence of the Dao's healing practices, with the intention of promoting health and tranquility for everyone.

3.Special Therapy Method

At the Yao Sìn Herbal Healing Center, guests can experience a variety of therapeutic methods:

Red Dao Herbal Bath:

The Red Dao herbal bath combines hydrotherapy and steam therapy to enhance blood circulation, soothe the mind, and alleviate pain in the body. The herbal baths of the Red Dao contain ten or more ingredients, including herbal plants such as burned rice, Vietnamese grass, fig leaves, wild pepper leaves, sedge, tropical magnolia, and cinnamon, among others…

At Yao Sìn, we particularly use fresh leaves from the medicinal garden within the resort and gather leaves from the forest (located in the conservation area). The leaves are harvested daily, ensuring the best quality and retaining their high medicinal properties.

Not only is the focus on the ingredients; the bathtub also plays a significant role. The bathtubs here are handcrafted from Po Mu wood - a type of hardwood commonly found in high mountain regions, especially in the northern mountainous provinces.

The essential oil from Po Mu wood has special medicinal properties. When exposed to the high temperature of hot water, the oil releases a natural fragrance into the air that helps relax, reduce stress, and promote blood circulation.
