Last week, Pan Hou Retreat successfully organized a fire prevention and rescue drill in collaboration with relevant units at the common area of the resort, along with the involvement of expert organizations.

Propagate fire prevention

This activity is part of our meticulously conducted annual training series, meeting the strict requirements of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Law. The drill not only provided essential information and knowledge to the staff regarding fire prevention and fighting (FPF) as stipulated by the Fire Prevention and Fighting Law, but also offered a valuable opportunity for practical experience. This enhances the ability to respond to and handle emergency situations, ensuring absolute safety for guests and the facility.

Following the defined in Article 4 of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Law 2001, which outlines the principles for fire prevention and fighting as follows:

  • Mobilize the collective strength of the entire population to participate in fire prevention and fire fighting activities.

  • In fire prevention and fire fighting activities, prevention should be the primary focus; it is necessary to actively and proactively prevent and minimize the occurrence of fires and the damage caused by them.

  • Forces, equipment, plans, and other conditions must be prepared in advance so that when a fire occurs, it can be extinguished promptly and effectively.

  • All fire prevention and fire fighting activities must first be carried out and resolved with local forces and equipment.

2. Purposes and steps of the drill

2.1 Purpose of the Drill

  • Skill training: Provide staff with the necessary skills to respond in emergency situations.

  • Test procedures: Evaluate the effectiveness of the existing fire prevention and firefighting procedures at the resort. Drill Procedure The drill is held on a sunny day, with the participation of all staff and some guests.

2.2 Steps of the drill

The main steps in the drill process include:

  • Emergency notification: When the alarm signal is activated, everyone is quickly informed about the situation.

  • Practice using fire fighting equipment: Staff are instructed on how to use fire extinguishers and other fire prevention equipment.

  • Evaluation and lessons learned: After the drill, the organizing team conducts a review.

Panhou Retreat is always committed to providing a safe and comfortable retreat space for guests. Activities such as fire drills are not only part of safety measures but also a strong commitment to the resort's social responsibility for everyone's safety.
